Buying estate jewellery!
Here are some my purchases...
I love this ring... I wear it pretty much every day. It is huge and beautiful! The stone changes colour in different light.
My favourite bracelet... It's coloured foil placed under glass... has a name, like 'diocratic glass' or something... for the life of me it's escaped my brain.
Art Deco style bangle - I LOVE ART DECO!
Red Lucite Elephant pendant - a new purchase.
One of my favourite Art Deco Fob braclets. It's quite heavy... but stunningly beautiful!
It has a jade scarab beetle design on the end. Magnificent!
I just liked the style of this brooch... I actually hang it on a chain around my neck.

LOVE the first ring!!! Is that an amethyst??? That's my birthstone! Never bought estate jewelry. Where does one find these kind of things? Estate sales? Like garage sales??? I must know!

Just found your blog and am thrilled that someone else also found the need to beseech Tamasin to wear a frickin' bra and tie back her hair {had no idea who her brother was - shows me I was just too distracted by the hair and boobs thing!}

well i've been to plenty of estate auctions and I can tell you, they don't have any treasures quite like these!
I've gotten tons of old books (which i collect)....but now, even those gems don't seem as fantastic as these finds!
so jealous right about now...first you get a kayak, and now this!

the purple stone pieces are lovely!! And the story about the pewter pendants are a bit bizarre. Way cooler than buying a commercial piece of mass produced jewelry. Kind of like designing your own prm dress- now one is going to have the same one as you!
