useless shit I've bought - part 1

First things first... it would seem my Aussie slang got the better of most of you yesterday.  If you would like me to clear anything up, please just say the word.  I'm more than happy to enlighten you.

Now, back to business!

I thought it about time I share with you my crazy penchant for useless shit... not just any useless shit, expensive useless shit.

As this is quite an exercise - due to my very obsessive nature.  I've decided to bring you one Case Study per day over the next few days.
_______________________________________________________

Case Study 1:  It's the very early hours of Saturday morning... Micko and I have had a big night - and I mean a bigger than Ben Hur night!

I, stupidly, decided to get on ebay.

I come across a clay ram that takes my fancy.

Micko and I get so excited we just HAVE to place a few bids.

The auction is nearing the end so we get into competition mode and I decide to outbid anyone who dares bid.

We win!  We are ecstatic. We dance. We sing.

We wake up in the morning, a little worse for wear and with little memory of the late night shopping spree.

That is until I check my emails and find a receipt for this little fella:

Sure!  He's cool!  He's a modernist Ram... and in the light of day, I do love him.

But... is he $130 plus postage cool?  Hmmmmmm?

What the fuck does it do? Give blow jobs? Eat out at the Y? $130?

Hahah.. To each her own. ;)

He's adorable and I would let him live with me. For $130 I expect that bitch to pitch in around this joint. Dang.

I'm not sure what I think about your friend there. I am an Aries, so if you were to tell me that you bought him because you think Rams are strong and he is a symbol and will yada yada yada, I could totally get on board with your Bohemian thought process. If it was just a "I must have this" type of item I am afraid I am with your friend that asked, "WTF does it do?"

I find that ebay can be great or can be a huge problem if you get into that bidding war. I say love him and don't worry about it.

Ebay is ALL kinds of trouble for us shoppers that are up late at night. We get antsy and feel we need to buy something sometimes...and when we do...then we get on a roll and the bidding is what's soo exciting. We feel the need to win, so we keep bidding higher and higher. It's an ALFA thing i suppose :)- Lol

i LIKE the clay thing-y.

reminds me of when i was younger and bought a wooden buddha from an import store because my theory was that it would appreciate in value over the years.

uh huh. the idiocy of youth.

but your ram is way cooler. in a "ramming shit that makes you mad" kind of way.

although he's made of clay, so probably don't ram stuff too hard.

Well, I don't care what anyone says, I think your Ram is cool.
It's something I would randomly buy from the reject shop for $3.... but you know, whatever
At least he comes "With a story" now LOL

Now, I don't know if I would have spent $130 on it, but I've been there/done that when it comes to drunken spending. I guess it could be worse...

Bidding + late night is always disastrous. Look at the things you buy! *points above* Haha Maybe you can auction it away?

LOL! I had a friend who used to order stuff from Home Shopping when she was drunk. And by friend I mean me.

Saw image of weird looking cow.

Discover via blog entry it's actually a ram?

Also horrified to discover price of said clay beastie...dudette - I could have made you one for FREE. It might have been minus a head and not as neat - but at least it would still be useful paper weight (so - what have you don't with said ram now???)
